A native of Swain County, she had lived in Jackson County for 85 years. She was a daughter of the late John and Sallie Shuler Worley and the wife of Joseph Theodore, who died in 1947.
Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Lupo of Sylva and Sallie Bumgarner of the home; two sons, Bill Bumgarner of Sylva and Robert Bumgarner of the home; a sister, Emma Worley of Gastonia; five grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Melton Funeral Home, Sylva. Burial will be in Bumgarner family cemetery in Locust Creek.
