Rich County Aid Dies at Age 59
WOODRUFF, RICH County, Sept. 28-Raymond Rees, 59, Rich county commissioner, died in a Coalville, Summit county hospital Monday morning of a heart ailment.
He was born June 14, 1889, in Castle Rock, Summit county, a son of David and Jane Crompton Rees.
He began his long residence in woodruff in 1900. He married Lois Porter there March 15, 1911. Following her death in 1945, he married Mrs. Phoebe Kennedy in 1946.
He was a member of the L.D.S. church.
Surviving besides his widow are six sons and daughters, Wayne, Richard and Gordon Rees, Mrs. Flora Nichols and Mrs. BethTelford, Woodruff, and Mrs. Barbara Peart, Randolph; also six brothers and sisters, William Rees, Lyman, Wyo.; Ralph Rees, Miss Phoebe Rees and Mrs. Clarice Martin, Coalville; Mrs. Lois Carman, Echo, Summit county, and Mrs. Teen Gunn, Woodruff; also 11 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at two p.m. in L.D.S. Randolph ward chapel by Bishop Emerson Cox of L.D.S. Woodruff ward. Burial will be in Woodruff cemetery, directed by the Bills Mortuary of Evanston.
Friends may call at the family home in Woodruff this evening and Wednesday until time of service.
