CULBERTSON -- Dr. Francis L. Wagner died Wednesday, April 13, 1988 at the Hospice of St. John at Longmont, Colorado at the age of 62. He was born December 20, 1925 in Hitchcock County near Culbertson, the son of Frank and Pauline (Fahrenbruch) Wagner.

He graduated from Culbertson High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He returned to Nebraska, where he attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Nebraska Wesleyan and North Central College, where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. He received his bachelor of divinity from the Evangelical Theological Seminary and graduated from San Jose State and Berkeley, where he earned his doctorate in education from Claremont, all in California.

For 14 years he was an educator for the Methodist Church in California.

He came to Colorado, where he was a field representative and personnel specialist with B&B Personnel. He was with Southland Corporation for 16 years, where he was in a managerial position.

In September of 1980 he began teaching at the Community College in Aurora where he taught psychology and management. He retired December 15, 1986.

Survivors include two brothers, Paul of Ft. Collins, Colorado; and George of Columbia, Missouri; and one sister, Mrs. Irva (George) Butherus of Culbertson.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Culbertson Cemetery with the Rev. J.B. Choate officiating. Friends may call at the Herrmann Funeral Chapel in Culbertson.
