Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wagner came from Bakersfield, California where he is director of Christian education at the First Methodist church; Dr. and Mrs. George Wagner and three children came from Columbia, Missouri where he is engaged in research in microbiology and teaches in the soil department of the University of Missouri; and Paul Wagner, the youngest son and a teacher in the Burlingame, California elementary public schools, came from San Mateo, California. The couple's only daughter, Mrs. George Butherus, resides with her husband and three daughters on a farm one-half mile east of Culbertson.
On Christmas day, the entire family had dinner at the parental Wagner home in observance of the Wagners' 40th wedding anniversary. The table centerpiece was a large, three-tier decorated anniversary cake. Other relatives called during the afternoon to congratulate the couple.

Mrs. Frank D. Wagner, 64, a long-time resident of the Culbertson community, died Monday at St. Catherine's hospital in McCook, following a long illness.
Funeral services were held here today at Zion Evangelical United Brethren church with the Rev. Eldo Kirkus officiating. Miss Kathy Kern, organist, accompanied Everett Kern, who sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Holy City." Burial was in the Culbertson cemetery under the direction of the Herrmann Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Dan Wagner, John Bauer Sr., Fred Weber Sr., Albert Wagner, Alex Eisenach, and Glenn Godtel.
Mrs. Pauline Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fahrenbruch, was born at Oxford, Nebraska on October 26, 1899 and died in McCook, Nebraska on November 18, 1963.
She grew up in this community and attended school in Culbertson. On December 20, 1920 she was married in Culbertson to Frank D. Wagner, who preceded her in death on September 30, 1961.
Among the survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Irva Butherus of Culbertson; three sons, Francis Wagner of Bakersfield, California; George H. Wagner of Columbia, Missouri; and Paul L. Wagner of Denver, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; and two brothers, Harry Fahrenbruch of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Mr. Fred Fahrenbruch of Mount Holly, New Jersey.
