Clara was the daughter of Andrew Russel and Clara Elizabeth Robbins Russel. She grew up in a large family of ten children. Clara married John Frederic Little in 1924. Clara and John had no known children. John died in 1936 in New Orleans, LA. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Alexander Hamilton Russel, who was killed in battle in WWII, and is buried in Italy.
