He was the son of Ann (nee Costello in Nebraska) and John Kinsella (native of Illinois).

On the 1895 census of Sioux City, Iowa he is living with his parents and 3 year old brother Willie.

On the 1900 census he and his 3 brothers and their parents are living in South Omaha, Nebraska.

On the 1910 census he and his 3 brothers are listed as nephews in the Cantella household in South Omaha, Nebraska.

* @19 m1=23 Aug 1911 in Anderson County, Tennessee to Sarah "Sallie" Ragsdale with 3 children
I am the son of Eula Mae Kinsella and she always said that Howard & Robert were adopted. Also I never heard anything about John's first wife having 3 children when she and John got married. I have found the record where John Kinsella and Sallie Ragsdale were married in 1911. John's son Howard was born the same day as is listed on his marriage record to Ethel Frona Kesterson. (rpc)

* @25 m2=15 Sep 1916 in Anderson County, Tennessee to Ethel Frona (Hill) Kesterson

* m3=by 1930 to Edna Catherine Larkin with 1 daughter

On 15 June 1918 he enlisted into the military and during WWI he served until 29 July 1919 as a Private First Class in Company A, 13th Regiment, 5th Division, Nebraska.

On the 1920 census of Chicago, Illinois he is listed as an engineer and single roomer.

In 1930 he and his 3rd wife Edna were residents of Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a draftsman for a sprinkler company. Early the next year they had a daughter Patricia Kinsella born on 7 Jan 1931.

By 1940 he was working as a salesman and the family was living in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee.

In 1942 he registered for the WW2 draft in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee.

About 1948 he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Death certificate #50-11890 provided the date of birth.
