Carolyn Sue Ray, age 65, of Flora, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at her home in Flora.
Sue was born June 15, 1949 in Edgewood, Illinois, to Oliver and Phyllis (Elledge) Allen. She married Donald Ray on July 24, 1970 in Cisne. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2008. Sue had worked at the International Shoe Factory and enjoyed reading in her spare time.
She is survived by her two sons: Gene Ray and Jacob Ray; mother-in-law: Elsie Ray; siblings: Alice (Bill) Tolliver, Elsie (Will) Braddock, Lu Harned, Rick (Debbie) Allen, and Rocky (Anita) Allen; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and five brothers.
In keeping with Sue’s wishes, there will be no services. Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, is assisting the family with arrangements.
