George A. Longfellow, Sr. 62, of Oswego, Illinois, died Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, Illinois.

He was born June 28, 1952 in Danville, the son of the late Richard and Mary Jane nee Regan Longfellow. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Rosemary and Paula; and a brother, Tony.

George is survived by his wife, Vicki J (Johnson) Longfellow; a son, George (Dawn) Longfellow Jr.; a daughter, Sara (Eric) Carson; five grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Longfellow, Henry (Candy Warf) Longfellow, Tim (Loretta) Longfellow and Tom Longfellow and many nieces and nephews.

George served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and Oswego American Legion Post 675 both of Oswego, Ill.
