Priscilla Mullins, 79, of rural Miami, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at her home.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at First Baptist Church in Slater. Rev. David L. Duncan will officiate. Organist Bethany Weiker will accompany Mary Lee Sisney, singing "How Great Thou Art" and "One Day at a Time." Pallbearers will be James Harris, Charles Harris, Steve Harris, Randy Jennings, Michael Mullins and Shawn Mullins. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery in Slater. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or Rehoboth Cemetery.Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Clora Jane Murphy Fizer. On Dec. 11, 1949, in Slater, she married Don Jo Mullins, who preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1998. She was a member of Slater Christian Church. She retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center in 2003 and was the regional winner of the 2003 Missouri Outstanding Older Workers award. She was a lifelong Saline County resident.Survivors include two sons, Melvin Mullins of Slater and Dean Mullins of Marshall; one sister, Charlene Hupp of Slater; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
