Gerald Glyn Miles, 87, of Garfield died April 30, 2015 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

He was born February 14, 1928 in Breckenridge, Texas to George Wilson Miles, Sr. and Verona D. McDonald Miles. Gerald was a 1945 graduate of Charles H, Milby High School and married Evelyn B. Brockman September 4, 1949. He was a heavy equipment operator for Shell Oil in Deer Park, Texas for many years. He drove the ambulance for Nebco in Garfield, loved fish and hunt elk in Colorado. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Garfield and served in the US Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda Reifenrath and two brothers, Jack and Terry Miles.

Survivors are one son, David Miles and wife Jan of Lometa, Texas; a daughter, Ellen Ruth Miles George of Garfield; a sister, Jean Hosea of Brazoria, Texas; a son-in-law, Pete Reifenrath of Garfield; seven grandchildren, Kassandra, Jason and Anna Lowery, Luke Gurganus, Trisha George and Rachel Pedigo.

Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6 at First Baptist Church in Garfield with Pastor Paul Bryant and Pastor Benny Thompson officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be in Ruddick
