LANCASTER, CA Charles H. Allison, 92, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, with the Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery, Glen Rock, with military rites performed by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born July 4, 1922, in York, Charles was the son of the late Harvey and Lillian (Masimore) Allison. Charles was a World War II veteran, having served with the U.S. Army Air Force. He was employed for many years as an aircraft engineer with several aircraft companies. Charles enjoyed camping and attending air shows. He is survived by nieces, Jane Sides of Florida, Patsy Brumguard of Leader Heights, Barbara Kochenour of Shiloh, Yvonne Sweeney and Kathy Ensor, both of Shrewsbury, and Susan Bernstein of Selinsgrove; and a nephew, Richard Allison of Shrewsbury. Charles was preceded in death by a nephew, Glenn Allison, and a niece, Jane Harteis.
