Dorothy Wilma McNeely Lowery, 85, died at 12:35 PM Thursday, June 10, 1993, in Regency Place, where she had been a patient one month. Born Jan. 20, 1908, at Mitchell, IN, she was a longtime Lafayette resident. Her marriage was to Claude D. Lowery, Sr., who died March 29, 1970. Mrs. Lowery was a former cook at Shealy Hall, Purdue University. She was a member of Elston Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce Lockard of Lafayette; one son, Claude "Butch" Lowery of West Lafayette; four sisters, Clara Hoskins, Mary Goldsmith, Geneva Hoshaw, all of Lafayette, and Merle Kendrick of Indianapolis; two brothers, Paul McNeeley of Lafayette and Ivis McNeeley of Mitchell; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded indeath by a son, Raymond E. Talbert; two brothers and four sisters.
