Published in The Paducah Sun, Paducah, McCracken Co., Ky., 26 Jan 2001 - CADIZ, Ky.--Services for Nora Mae Thomas, 79, of Louisville, formerly of Cadiz, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home here. The Rev. Irvin Darnall will officiate. Burial will be in Robertson Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mrs. Thomas died at 8:51 p.m. Wednesday at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville.
She retired from the Blue Boar Restaurant with 20 years of service and was a member of Brown Street Baptist Church in Louisville.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Boyd of Williamstown, W.Va., and Herschel Boyd of Cadiz; two daughters, Eunice Thomas of Cadiz and Dorothy Hawes of Louisville; one sister, Anna Pearl Meredith of Cadiz; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother; one half brother; and one half sister. Her parents were William Burley and Carrie Dunning Broadbent.
