Hugh N. Morrison Sr., 78, of Mt. Pleasant Township, died Sunday, April 11, 2010. Born July 30, 1931, in Lycippus, he was a son of the late James N. and Lillian (Bridge) Morrison. He was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United. Prior to retirement, he was a machinist at Power X. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, James, Richard and Paul. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Eileen Wright Morrison; father of John (Judy), of Jeannette, Nick (Carol) and Sam (Charlene), all of Greensburg, Janet (Bob) McAnany, of Lycippus, Kathy (Phil) Riggle and Kelly (David) Domasky, all of Greensburg, and Scott (Lisa), of Lancaster; proud grandfather of Sammy, Nicky (Christie), all of Greensburg, Damian Morrison, Rachel (Mike) Lancaster, Aimee (Mike) Jura, Danny McAnany, Melissa, Mary and Valerie Morrison, Bobby McAnany, Matt Domasky, Adam, Joshua, Phillip Riggle, Christine, Maria and Patrick Morrison; great-grandchildren, Sammy and Sierra Morrison, Abby and Sara McAnany and Chloe Lancaster; and his sisters, Rosemary (Allen) Tomb, of Greensburg, and Pat MacFadden, of Avon, Conn.; also nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, where his blessing service will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, followed by his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Florian Catholic Church with the Rev. William C. McGuirk as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Florian Cemetery, Trauger.
