Carole J. Stripe, 68, died Friday, November 14, 2003 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center from heart failure. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 19 at Westover Funeral Home with burial following at Glendale Cemetery.
Carole was born the daughter of Doyle and Ova (Gibbs) Halfhill on February 3, 1935 in Garden Grove, Iowa. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She loved her family, her grandchildren and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband Bill. She is survived by her mother, Ova Halfhill of Des Moines; son, Randy of Des Moines, daughters, Rochelle Stripe of Des Moines, Renee Groat of Nampa, ID, Rhonda Bohall of Clive, Rosemary Pettinger of Pleasant Hill and Beckie Pettinger of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 18 at the funeral home.
