Obituary:
Brice Blair Briggs, well known to our people in this section died at his home in Bellwood on Saturday last from typhoid fever. He was a stout, robust man, an engineer for many years on the Bellwood Division of the P.R.R. He was the son of William and Isabelle Wilson Briggs, early citizens of Germany Valley. He was married to Lizzie Shields. With his wife, five children survive: Edith, Blair, Fred, Sherman and Eva, all at home. Deceased was a member of the Eagles, also Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, which organizations officiated at his funeral. Services were held at him home on Sunday by Rev. A. Davidson, of the U.B. church. The remains were brought to Mt. Union on Monday morning and taken to the Germany Valley Stone Church were services were again held by Rev. Davidson and Rev. Culver. Interment in the Germany Valley Cemetery.
