Ilion, Aug - At an early hour this morning at her home at 11 North Fifth Avenue, occurred the death of Ann Donlin, who was born at Auburn, Susquehanna County, Pa., on August 31, 1855, and who lived at that place until she was 18 years of age. She then moved to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where on May 24, 1875 (s/b 1872), she was married to Michael D. Hartford, and immediately came to this village, where they have since resided. Mrs. Hartford has been in ill health for the past two years, and for the last five months, her condition has been critical. The cause of death was Bright's disease. The deseased was an estimable Christian woman and a devout member of the Church of the Annunciation and its auxilary societies, the League of the Sacred Heart and the Altar Society.
She was sympathetic, kind, and charitable, a good neighbor and a great lover of her home, finding the greatest comfort in the company of the members of her family, to whom her death will bring much sadness. Surviving are her husband and four (s/b five) children, Mrs. Daniel Bean, Fred D. Hartford, Mrs. George M. Carney, Miss Olive Hartford, and Miss Helen Hartford, all of Ilion, also four grandchildren and two brothers, Bernard F. Donlin of Ilion, and William J. Donlin of Luzerne, Pa. The funeral will be held wednesday morning from th eresidence at 9 o'clock, and at 9:30 a solemn high mas will be celebrated at the sevices at the Church of the Annunciation.
