My Great Grand Uncle

Mr. Andy Brewer, 73, a farmer of the Hibernia community in Taylor County, son of the late Mr. George Washington Brewer and Mrs. Mary Alice Caulk Brewer, was born in Larue County, Kentucky, May 7, 1892. He died at 7:25 p.m., Wednesday, December 1st at the Rosary Hospital in Campbellsville due to a brain hemorrhage. He was admitted to the hospital three hours earlier. He was a member of the Otter Creek Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Miss Mattie Underwood some forty-eight years ago, and to this union two sons and three daughters were born. Surviving are: Mrs. Eva Stillwell and Mrs. Aileen Stillwell, both of Larue County; and Mr. Robert Brewer of Louisville. Besides his wife and children, he is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Beckham Brewer of Hodgenville, Rt. 5; Walter Brewer of Louisville; and Miss Elizie Brewer of Hodgenville, Rt. 5. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 3rd in the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church by Rev. Garland Skaggs with burial in the church cemetery.Pallbearers were Jack, Bernie, Paul, Neville, Bernie and James Brewer.
