Joseph Adam Guidry Sr., a fisherman, died Thursday at West Jefferson Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 62.
Mr. Guidry was born in Terrebonne Parish and lived in Lafitte.
He is survived by his wife, Enola Bruce Guidry; four sons, Matrile, Ernest Sr., Joseph Jr. and Charles Guidry; two daughters, Ozelia Saplut and Gloria Sellers; seven sisters; 13 brothers; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Benevolent Funeral Home in Lafitte, followed by burial in Fleming Cemetery, also in Lafitte.
