Mrs. Anna E. Baldwin
Mrs. Anna E. Baldwin, aged 94 years, of Barton City, died Wednesday, January 14, 1963, at a Traverse City hospital. She entered the hospital two years ago.
Anna E. Wilbur was the daughter of Steven and Emily Wilbur, born November 3, 1858 at Belding, Michigan. She lived there until her marriage on July 10, 1879, to Edwin Baldwin, who died March 28, 1918. They came to Curran and homesteaded land where she lived until 1926 when she moved to Barton City.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Rapids.
Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Leonard of Cedar Springs, Clarence of Barton City; Vernon of Grand Rapids; Burt of Newberry, and Mrs. Alva Cartright of Grand Ledge. There are 23 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Six grandchildren will act as pallbearers at funeral services which will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, from the Smith Funeral Home. Rev. Clair Gleason will officiate and burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, Lincoln.
