Mary Frickel obituary
Mary Frickel Kraft 79 of Laurel died Friday March 19 1999. She died quietly in her sleep of congestive heart failure at Billings Deaconess Medical Center.
Mary was bom Nov 15 1919, west of Laurel in Yellowstone County a daughter of David and Elizabeth Reil Frickel. She married William "Bill" Kraft on October 23, 1944, at Red Lodge They farmed west of Billings for many years until her husband's death in 1968 Mary moved to Laurel where she worked at Laurel High School as custodian for 12 years retiring at age 62. After that until her death Mary lived with her daughter Cindy.
She was devoted to her family especially to her grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill Kraft, two daughters, Judy Swan and Sandy Kraft, two sisters, Betty Pease and Lydia Brewster and three brothers, Adolph, Jim and Tom Frickel. Surviving are two twin daughters, Cindy Bums and her husband Gene of Laurel, Susy Grice and her husband Herb of Billings, son-in-law Ervin Swan of Laurel, and grandchildren David "Bubba" and Keith Bums Brian and Willie Grice, brothers Harold Bill Ruben and Dave Frickel and one sister Sally Dawes of Laurel.
She was a member of First Congregational Church and Ladies Eagles Auxiliary.
Services were Tuesday at First Congregational Church in Laurel Interment was in Laurel Cemetery Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel was in charge of arrangements
