Annette (Nan) Hansen Floor was born in Salt Lake City on July 9, 1937, the fourth and youngest daughter of Harvey Delome and Elva Blackburn Hansen.
At her birth, she joined her sister, Dorothy, and her brothers, Dick and Tom. She was an aunt at seven and grew up with her nephews and niece -and she had many Hansen and Horsley cousins.
On January 15, 1964, she arranged a blind date with Emanuel (Manny) Floor. Six months later, they were married at the Cathedral of the Madeleine on June 6, 1964. They were soulmates in every way.
She attended Lowell, Bonneville, Roosevelt, and East High School, graduating in 1955. Graduated from the University of Utah in 1960 with a BS degree - Child Development.
She and Manny traveled throughout the US and Europe. She loved New York and Broadway musicals. She taught at Carey School - San Mateo, California, returning to Salt Lake as Director of the Jewish Community Center Nursery.
She dedicated to helping children through her roles as a mother, aunt, cousin, and teacher. She celebrated every holiday - and family and friends shared her joy and love of great food and decorations. She operated two Nan's Emporium gift stores
Prior to her death, she said she was going "upstairs" to be with sons, John and Danny, who died after birth, her parents, brothers and sister, their spouses, her nephew and grand-niece, many cousins, aunts, uncles, Manny's parents, brother, Bill; and brother-in-law, Richard Herron.
