She is survived by her nine children, 40 grand kids; 83 great-grand kids; and 56 great-great-grand kids. She is also survived by her two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Florence Castro; 3 daughters: Oufemia, Juanita and Gloria; sisters, Carmen Garcia and Isabelle Ponce; and long-time companion Reyes Corona Flores.

Lois Castro DeGarso was born November 5, 1930 in Bonham, Texas to parents Alex and Florence Castro. She passed away April 14, 2015 in Mc Kinney, Texas. Lois will be remembered as a very hard working woman who loved her family with an open heart and an open door. She learned at the very young age of seven how to make homemade tortillas and also became a great cook because of many years in training. In her younger years she also picked cotton. No job was ever undone by Lois. She was a self taught seamstress and in her later years began to create beautiful drawing artwork that is adored by her family. Lois is survived by her children, 40 grandchldren, 83 great grandchildren and 56 great great grandchildren, and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents and three daughters Oufemia, Juanita and Gloria, sisters Carmen Garcia and Isabelle Ponce and her loving companion Reyes Corona Flores. The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 5-8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road, Plano, Texas. Lois will be laid to rest at Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Texas.
