"David Rittenhouse, a former Xenian, died this morning of apoplexy at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Riley, in Springfield. He was 77 years old. Mrs. Lester Ary and Mrs. Lee Benson, of this city, are daughters of the decedent, and the body will be brought to Xenia tonight and taken to the home of Mrs. Ary."
