Norma Jean (Baker) Hall, 89, of Millersburg, passed away Saturday evening, April 18, 2015, at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, after a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Church of Millersburg, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Walther officiating. Burial will be in Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre.

Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Those wishing to share a memory or make on-line condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John's Church of Millersburg, 8670 State Route 39, Millersburg 44654.

She was born at home on May 4, 1925 in Beach City, the daughter of Lloyd and Gertrude (Knodel) Baker, and married Robert B. Hall on Jan. 26, 1945. He survives.

Norma was a 1942 graduate of Beach City High School and a 1944 graduate of Massillon Business College. Her first job was in the office of Eaton Manufacturing in Massillon, then as a secretary for her sister, Eileen DeHass, at Castle Nursing Home, retiring in 1990 after 32 years of service. Norma was on the Board of Directors for Castle Nursing Home and was a member of St. John's Church of Millersburg.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 70 years, are children, Susan (Jeff) Kinney and James (Tina) Hall, both of Millersburg; grandchildren, Jodi (Brian) Patterson of Millersburg, Zebulon Hall of Wooster, and Tessa (Dustin) Miller of Killbuck; great-grandchildren, Ashley Patterson, Kyle Miller, Blayne Miller, Roman Hall and Phoenix Hall; sisters, Margie Reed of Navarre, and Mardell Lee of Massillon; a brother, Robert (Janet) Baker of Navarre; and a sister-in-law, Betty Baker of Stone Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father- and mother-in-law, Russell and Zora Hall; a sister, Eileen B. DeHass; and brothers, Glen, Lloyd Richard and Carl Baker.
