Annie Waddle aged 84 years, a resident of Dubois County, in the State of Indiana who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of David Waddle deceased, who was the identicalDavid Waddle, who served under the name of David Waddle as a private in the company commanded by Captain James Bennet, in the 4th Regiment of West Tennessee Vol. commanded by Colonel Steel, in the year of 1812, that her said husband volunteered at Ft. Smither, on or about the 28th day of February 1814 A.D., for the term of 90 days , and continued in actual service in said war for the term of several months, and whose services terminated by reason of an honorable discharge, at the expiration of the war. She further states that the following is a full description of her said husband at the time of his enlistment, viz:Black hair, Dark eyes, Dark complexion, Medium size. She further states that she was married to the said David Waddle, at the city of Gainsboro, in the county of Jackson, and in the state of Tennessee, on the 20th day of August, A.D. 1814 by one Austin Martin, who was a Justice of the peace and that her name before her said marriage was Anna Wilson; and she further states that she nor her husband had ever been previously married and that her husband David Waddle, died in Dubois County, in the State of Indiana, on the 12th day of August, A. D. 1880, and that she has not again married: and she further declares that the following have been the places of residence of herself and her said husband since the date of his discharge from the Army, West Tennessee and Bullet County, Ky., and Dubois County in the state of Indiana.
