After retirement, he enjoyed spending more time with his family, going to the beach and hanging out at Jack's. He was an avid UNC Tarheel fan and loved country music. He was loved and adored by many, most of all his family.
Mr. Hope is survived by his wife of 46 years, 11 ½ months, Glenda, his daughter, Charlotte (Jimmy) of Butner; his son, Craig (Lori) of Wilmington. He is also survived by four brothers, Perry (Anne) Hope of Newton Grove, W. T. (JoAnn) Hope of Mt. Pleasant, Victor (Elizabeth) Hope of Durham and Billy (Barbara) Hope of Clinton; two sisters, Doris Strickland of Raleigh and Gracie ( Bill) Bowman of Myrtle Beach, SC.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hope was preceded in death by one, sister, Charlotte Hope and two brothers, Carl Hope and Bob Hope.
