William Thomas Sears was born in Anne Arundel County, the third child and first son of Thomas Sears & Ida Virginia King. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 20 & served with Company M, 115th Infantry. He was honorably discharged on 5 Jun 1919. He married Ella May Kane on 2 Sep 1919 in Baltimore, Maryland. They had four children: Marjorie May, William Thomas, Jr., Anne Elizabeth & John Thomas. After May's death, Will married 2)Bessie Irene (Rodgers) Phipps on 12 Jul 1947. Bessie died on 4 Mar 1952 and Will married 3)Annie Dawson Wheeler on 5 Dec 1953. Will & May as well as their son William, Jr. are buried at LAP.
