Funeral services for Mr. R. J. 'Jiggs' Bussey, 85, of Pine Ridge Road, Appling, Georgia, who died June 1, 2004, will be conducted this Friday morning at 11 a.m. from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Pastor James K. Glander officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bussey was a native of Augusta, a former resident of North Augusta, having made Appling his home for the past 22 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and the retired owner of Fox Candy Company. Mr. Bussey was the husband of the late Mrs. Josephine George Bussey. Survivors include two sons, two daughters, a sister,13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ramsey Harris, Wade Crawford, D. Scott Bussey, G. Scott Bussey, Car lton Fulcher and Greg Lepard. The family will be at the residence of Charlotte Crawford, 810 Old Edgefield Road, North Augusta, S.C. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1002 Carolina Avenue, North Augusta, S.C. 29841.
