A wedding party occurred on Wednesday, May 23, 1923 at 10:00 am. at the
Evangelical parsonage in Fullerton NE, when Miss Minnie Blanche Clauff became
the bride of Rynold Fred Butts
Miss Mildred Clauff, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Otto Butts,
brother to the groom was best man. Rev. W.H. Garries, pastor of the Fullerton
Evangelical Church officiated, using the impressive ring ceremony.
Mrs. Butts wore a dress of white satin trimmed with silver lace. Miss Clauff
wore pink satin.
Following the ceremony a delicious wedding breakfast was served at the home of
the bride's parents.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Clauff who reside southwest of
Fullerton NE. For the past year she has been the efficient teacher of the
Liberty Knoll School and she is a favorite with all those who have the pleasure
of knowing her. The groom is a promising young farmer of near Central City NE.
He will take his bride to reside on the Will Sanderman farm near Central City.

Obituary - Central City [NE] Republican Nonpareil Newspaper - September 13, 2001:
Services for Minnie Blanche Butt, 100, of Central City [NE], will be Friday, September 14 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Central City. Minnie died Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at Long Term Care in Central City.
Rev. Bradley Rick will officiate the 11 a.m. services.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 13, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Solt Funeral Home in Central City and Friday, September 14, from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Organist Suzanne Philippi will provide music for the service.
Pallbearers will be Laura Lee Kleve, Judy Munn, Bradley Kleve, and Kenneth, David and Howard Gee. [Howard was unable to come from CA so Charles Clauff stood in his stead.]
Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery.

Minnie was born June 4, 1901 in Beaconsfield, Iowa to Charles Edward and Clara Elizabeth (Morgan) Clauff. At the age of two, Minnie traveled with her family, in a wagon, to live near Osceola [NE]. Her family moved to a farm near Clarks [NE] in 1904 and Minnie attended District 25 School, graduating from Clarks High School in 1920.
After graduation, Minnie taught at rural schools near Clarks, and Fullerton [NE].
On May 23, 1923, Minnie and Rynold F. Butt were united in marriage at the Evangelical Church Parsonage in Fullerton. They farmed and lived in the Clarks
area. In 1947, they moved into Central City, but continued to farm in the Clarks area.
Minnie took courses at Concordia College in Seward [NE] and received her teacher certification. She taught from 1954 until 1962 in Chapman [NE], Clarks and Central City area at Merrick County Districts 1, 12, 27 and 21 - where she taught seven of her grandchildren.
Rynold died on June 21, 1957.
Minnie retired from teaching in 1962, but then became head librarian at Hards Memorial Library in Central City. She continued at this position until 1984, when she retired at the age of 83.
Minnie moved into Long Term Care in 1998.
Minnie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild. As a young mother, Minnie belonged to a neighborhood extension (sewing) club. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid card player. She enjoyed traveling and had been to Europe, most of the 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii, Canada, Mexico twice, and had flown over the North Pole in a bush plane. He last trip was at 92, when she went with a tour to Missouri.
On June 4th, 2001, Minnie celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at Long Term Care and was honored as an Admiral in the Nebraska Navy by Governor Mike Johanns.
Minne had three main loves in her life: her family, teaching kids and genealogy.
Survivors include daughter Reta Lee Kleve of Central City; daughter-in-law Alvera Butt of Central City; son-in-law Jay Gee of Central City; sister Hilda Major of Fullerton, sister-in-law Hannah Butt of Palmer [NE]; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Rynold; daughter Laree Gee; son Louis Butt; two grandsons; sister Mildred (Adamson, Davis, Moore) Jemison; 2 brothers: C. Marvin Clauff and John "Jack" George Clauff; and one great-great-granddaughter.
