Mr Petrie, on August 23, 1905, died with acute indigestion at his brother-in-laws W H Babcock of Parish, N.Y. He was born in Columbia, Herkimer County in 1829 to Rudolph and Betsey Vrooman Petrie. When nine years old, he came to Parish with his parents. Mr. Petrie was married twice. Miss Martha Phelps of which they had two children, Mrs L D Brockway of Parish and Mrs O E Bartlett of Sandy Creek. In 1861 he married Miss Martha Babcock and had one child, Mrs g W Bush of Oswego. He also leaves two brothers, N A Petrie of Ashton, ill and Tunis Petrie of Parish. Burial in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery.
