Loan-Anh Thi Lorenz was born April 25, 1945 in Vietnam. She moved to the United States in 1972. On July 12, 1972 she was united in marriage to Gerald Lorenz at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Trimont, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived on a farm in Elm Creek Township until moving to Gerald's family farm in Elm Creek Township, rural Sherburn. Loan-Anh was employed at Spoerry-Univac Company in Jackson. She also helped her family on the farm especially operating the corn dryer. Loan-Anh was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Sherburn. She greatly enjoyed cooking and shopping.
Loan-Anh died on Saturday evening, October 15, 2005 at her rural farm home in rural Sherburn, Minnesota at the age of sixty years.
Those left to honor Loan-Anh's memory include her husband, Gerald Lorenz of rural Sherburn, Minnesota; daughter, Linda Lorenz of St. Paul, Minnesota; son, John Lorenz of Leadville, Colorado; Father and Mother in-law, Lester and Zeli Lorenz of Trimont, Minnesota; brothers-in-law, Jim Lorenz and his wife, Sharon, of Trimont, Minnesota and Richard Lorenz and his wife, Glenys, of New Richland, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Joyce Birdsong and her husband, Ed, of Hawaii; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Loan-Anh was preceded in death by her daughter, Van-Anh Lorenz on August 15, 2001 and other relatives.
