Final rites for Odda Elmer HUTTON of Pierceville were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. at the Phillips Chapel in Garden City.
Mr. HUTTON, who was 74 years of age, died Saturday night at the Stafford Hospital. He and Mrs. HUTTON had come to Stafford Friday to bring his sister, Mrs. Millie McGlade, of Montezuma here for a visit with other sisters here, Mrs. Albert Tuckwood and Mrs. W. A. Logue.
Shortly after they arrived in Stafford Mr. HUTTON suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. His condition became worse on Saturday and his death came that night. All his children and their families were called and were here at the time of his passing.
Surviving Mr. HUTTON are his widow, Anna; three sons, Earl, Merle, and Wayne, all of Pierceville; one daughter, Mrs. Bud Brown of Scott City; one brother, W.A. HUTTON of Bucklin; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Tuckwood and Mrs. W. A. Logue of Stafford; Mrs. Delia Prier of Lowry City, MO; and Mrs. Millie McGlade of Montezuma; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Lottie Prentice, who was unable to attend the funeral, is a sister-in-law.
Those from Stafford who went to Garden City Tuesday for the services were, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tuckwood, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tuckwood, Mrs. Richard Tomlinson, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Sanders and Billy, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ford, Mrs. W. A. Logue, Mr. and Mrs. Syl Hearn and Melvin, Mrs. Chas. Parks, Kenneth Parks, Harry Carlson, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Newell, and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ward of Tucson, AZ, who have been visiting Mrs. Ward's mother, Mrs. Chas. Parks, since the death of Mr. Parks last week.
