Harrel T. Harriman, 79, of Elkins, Ark., died Jan. 30, 1990, at the Huntsville Clinic. He was born Aug. 21, 1910, at Japton, Ark., the son of Marion Francis and Orlena Neal Harriman. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his widow, Mrs. Dessie Iva Eubanks Harriman, on June 10, 1972, and by one son, Roy L. Harriman on Jan. 18, 1989.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald M. Harriman and Glenn F. Harriman, both of Fayetteville, and Kennith Junior Harriman of Elkins; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Boyd and Mrs. Betty Stowers, both of Fayetteville; two brothers, Herschel Harriman of Huntsville and Herbert Harriman of Ontario, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Howard of Yucaipa, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Afton Spurlock, minister, officiating. Interment was in the Ledbetter Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Marvin Cousins, James K. Carter, James A. Clark, J.D. Lyman, Bill Rogers and Gordon Harriman.
