Services for Eula Back, 85, Crofton, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Crofton, with the Rev. Alan Hopper officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight. She died at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Christian County, she was born March 12, 1918, the daughter of the late Hanson and Prudenze Gamble Payne. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crofton Pentecostal Church. Her husband, Roy Eugene Back, died in 1976. Survivors include four sons, Roy E. Back Jr., Frankfort, Philip D. Back, Hopkinsville, Edgar R. and Daniel L. Back, both of Crofton; two daughters, Barbara Ashby Stanton, Cumberland City, Tenn., N. Gayle Baldwin, Crofton; a sister, Carlos Rhodehouse, Arcadia, Fla., 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
