Jacob Keen and his wife Edith (Corbett?) were parents of eleven children. They married about 1822, and came from Wayne Co., North Carolina (Duck Creek MM) to Wayne Co., Indiana (New Garden MM), received on certificate March 15, 1828. After a few forays to other Indiana locations, the family was granted a certificate to Driftwood MM in Bartholomew Co., Indiana, on Nov. 19, 1842.

Jacob's grave is not marked; dates and relationships were taken from Driftwood/Sandcreek MM records. His wife Edith survived him, and was still residing in Bartholomew Co. in 1850.
