Robert Keen was the son of Jacob Keen and Edith Corbett. He married Mildred Parker Jan. 11, 1845, at Driftwood MM, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana.

His grave is not marked, although his burial at Sandcreek is documented in the Sandcreek MM records. His date of death is somewhat ambiguous. The record for his birth reports 7th of the 5th month, 1823 (May 7, 1823.) His death is recorded on a different page, thusly:

Robert F. Keen, deceased the 7th of the 11th month, 1845, aged 26 years, 1 month, 8 days.

If the date of birth is correct, and the age at death is computed, then the date of death would have been June 15, 1849. Whether he died on June 15th or Nov. 7th, it was almost certainly in the year 1849, not 1845. Robert Keen was mentioned with Mildred on May 14, 1849, when her mother's estate residue was distributed (Probate Order Book F, p. 140.)

Robert and Mildred Keen's children were:
Zilpha Keen, Nov. 29, 1845
James Keen, Feb. Feb. 4, 1848
John F. Keen, Oct. 25, 1849
(four months after his father's death)

Robert Keen did not have a probated estate of his own.

Zilpha and John F. Keen were enumerated on the 1860 census in the household of their step-father, Nathan Fodrea, using his surname.
