Bill Walker 83, of Bluff City, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015. Bill was born August 23, 1931 in Bluff City, Arkansas to Lawrence M. and Mattie May Walker.

Mr. Walker was in the United States Army where he served in the Korean War and was in the 101st Airborne. He was also a member of the Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas and a member of the Bluff City Church of Christ. For the last 20 to 30 years Bill was known as the “Watermelon Man” around Bluff City and he enjoyed dancing at the Senior Citizens Center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in Arkadelphia. Bill was the owner and operator of Walker Reprographics in Mesquite, Texas before returning to Bluff City when he retired.

He was preceded in death by his loving partner of 20 years, Ruby Berry; five brothers, Bob, Terry Jack, Glenn, Ted and Wendell; two sisters, Nell Wanda Mc Kelvy and Mary Ann Walker.

Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Michael Walker and wife, Pam; Terry Walker and wife, Jennifer and Barry Walker and wife, Rhonda all of Mesquite, Texas; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm in Bluff City Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home, Hope, Arkansas.
