Joseph Worst was born Johannes Worst in Meppel, Netherlands, on March 3, 1883. He was the son of Karst Worst and Fannie Bartels. He always went by the name Joe or Joseph after the family immigrated to the USA in 1886. He owned a large farm on Honey Creek Road (Rural Route 1) in Ada, Michigan. His wife's name was Gertrude and they had no children. He was a member of Ada Reformed Church. He died in Highland, Indiana on July 9, 1941 at the age of 58. As there are several towns named Highland in Indiana, I am not sure which one is referred to in his obituary.
