Per the Folsom Telegraph, June 25, 1920-MRS. DEELY CALLED BY DEATH-Last Friday night another of the old time residents of Folsom was called by death. Mrs. Catherine Deely, a native of Ireland, aged 81 years, passed away after a brief illness, which came on to her as she was returning from a trip downtown Thursday morning. Mrs. Deely was the widow of the late Nicholas Deely and the mother of Mrs. T.B. Haggerty of Sacramento, Al Deely of Folsom, N.B. Deely of Los Angeles and the late Emily, John and William Deely. In spite of her advanced years, she was bright and active up to the time of her fatal illness. Mrs. Deely was a kind hearted, gentle woman and was liked and esteemed by all who knew her. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon, Father Ellis conducting services at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery. The pallbearers were P.J. Cochrane, I. Hyman, E.E. Lutrell, J.B. Leonard, F.T. Taylor and T. Curry. there were many beautiful floral tributes.
