Betty Lee Callaway, 68, Kearney, MO, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at her home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Kearney. Betty was born December 26, 1931, in Brookfield, MO to Richard G. and Bertha Mae (Morris) Tate. She was a 1949 graduate of Meadville High School. Betty retired as a cashier from Big V Country Mart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Callaway in 1993; three brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include three daughters: Stephanie K. Davis, Terry L. Haley, and Susan E. Johns, all of Kearney; sister, Lois Doss, Kearney; two brothers, Cecil David Tate, Spickard, Mo., and Jerry Franklin Tate, Laredo, Mo., as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
