Willie Mae “Bill” Bethay Trumbauer, age 98 of Fairmount, died on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center She was born on October 9, 1916 in Ratliff, Miss. to the late Uriah Jackson and Dona Hendrick Barber. She was married to Paul Trumbauer on April 4, 1977 in Point Isabel, he preceded her in death in 2006. She was a member of the Point Isabel United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the United Methodist Women’s Association. Bill was a member and Grand Representative of the Swayzee Order of the Eastern Star, joining in 1960.

Bill is survived by daughters, Joy Ault, of Central, S.C. and Kay (Wayne) Cullum, of Marion; son, Kenton Bethay, of Michigan City; stepson, Ted (Carol) Trumbauer, of Greenwood; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death her parents, Uriah and Dona; husband, Paul; sons, Pet and Jon Bethay; daughter-in-law, Sandra Bethay.

Arrangements are being entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana, 46928. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, March 25 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Fairmount Chapel. An Eastern Star will be on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service honoring Bill’s life will be held on Thursday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairmount Chapel. Committal service and interment will immediately following at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
