"Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal" Tupelo, Mississippi Jan. 11, 1992 LYLE Shannon - Ernye Barber Lyle, 92, died Thursday at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a native of Itawamba County, a resident of Tupelo for 55 years before moving to Shannon in 1989. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tupelo and the Mary Stuart Chapter of the DAR. She was the widow of A. R. Lyle. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today with Dr. Prentiss Gordon and the Rev. Philip Box officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Kathryn Stephens of Shannon and Mrs. John S. Thompson of Plantation, Fla; two sons, Charles Lyle of Mobile, Ala, and Bill Lyle of Shannon; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Trumbauer of Fairmont, Ind. and Virginia Walker of Manchester, Tenn.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
