Ignacia Lopez Baria entered eternal rest on Jan. 19, 2002 at the age of 83. She was born in Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines on Dec. 17, 1918.

Mrs. Baria now joins her husband Elias Baria and her only son Ador Baria, who died in 1988.

She is survived by her three daughters, Dr. Nieva Castillo and husband Dr. Rogelio Castillo of Buffalo, N.Y., Ella Lezondra and husband Eduardo of Chicago, and her youngest daughter, Eden Boulter and husband Robert from Virginia Beach. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Varoon Lezondra and wife Mary Lou, Lisa Castillo Reyes and husband Samuel, Emil Lezondra and wife Julie, Edward Lezondra, Kristina Castillo, Bobby Boulter, Beverly Jane Lezondra and Justin Boulter, all in the United States, Ellen Baria and Gigi Eugenio of the Philippines, Josephine Marin and Mariel, Joy, Rayda and Jun Baria of Japan and Clara Chavez of U.K.; four great-grandchildren in the United States, Logan Lezondra, Ana and Carlos Reyes and Alexa Lezondra; and 11 great-grandchildren in the Philippines. Mrs. Baria leaves behind her sisters, Flordeliza Domingo of California, Nieves Galutera of Florida, Violeta Gonzalvo, Zenaida Lopez of the Philippines and Trinidad Lopez of New York. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Teopisto Lopez and Lope Lopez.

Mrs. Baria lived with daughter Eden for most of her years in the United States. She was an active member of the UIAT and Fil-Am Bayanihan Senior Citizen Group. She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Mark.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Catholic Church of St. Mark with Fr. Leo Manalo officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with a wake service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The family wishes to thank the Sentara Hospice Care for the excellent service rendered.
