Ruth A. Emch, age 92, formerly of Woodville, OH, most recently of Bowling Green, OH, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Bowling Green Care Center, Bowling Green, OH. She was born on June 20, 1922 in Columbiana, OH to Alvin and Effie (Bair) Knopp. On September 25, 1946 she married Donald R. Emch in Salem, OH and he preceded her in death in 1961. Ruth worked as a cashier at Sparkle Market in Canfield, OH Ruth is survived by her daughter: Margaret (Burt) Linke of Woodville, son-in-law: Robert Gilbert of Richfield, OH, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and brother: Donald (Margie) Emch of Salem, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Donald, daughter: Catherine Gilbert and grandson: GYSGT Robert Gilbert II. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 1-2 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH with funeral services being conducted at 2 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Korn. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the Troy-Webster American Legion Post #240, Luckey, OH immediately following the cemetery committal services.
