Funeral services for Lloyd Estel Pendergrass, 91, Springfield, Missouri, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Gainesville Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Pendergrass died at 3:53 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at The Manor at Elfindale, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born January 21, 1924, at Trail, Missouri, to Edward Pendergrass and Nola Freeman Pendergrass. On February 16, 1947, he was married at Drury, Missouri, to Thelma Lucille Manary.

Mr. Pendergrass was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy during World War II. Before his retirement, he worked as a carpenter and was a farmer. Mr. Pendergrass was a Minister for many Churches of Christ in the area, including Clarkridge, Arkansas, Arbyrd, Missouri, Ball Church of Christ at Dora, Missouri and Pine Ridge Church of Christ at Souder, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Pendergrass, Springfield, Missouri; four children, Rickey Lee Pendergrass, Eldridge, Missouri, Mickey Dean Pendergrass, wife, Jewel, Mountain Home, Arkansas, Sandra Kay McFarland, husband, Bill, Springfield, Missouri and Sherry Ann Murray, husband, Ed, Riverton, Wyoming; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Eli Pendergrass, Dale Pendergrass, wife, Betty, Charley Pendergrass, wife, Louise and Larry Pendergrass, wife, Sandra; four sisters, Geneva Johnson, husband, Eugene, Doroline Barnes, Ann Newton and Shirley Hart, husband, Robert; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, one infant son, two grandchildren, Shala Nicole Pendergrass and Casey Randal Murray, eight brothers, Paul, Ronnie, Claude, Buck, Carl and Jack Pendergrass and T. J. and Carl Parsley, and five sisters, Euna Uhlman, Pauline Thompson, Verlie Freeman, Orpha Freeman and Dorothy Abbott, precede him in death.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, Missouri. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery, Souder, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home or Pine Ridge Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main Street, West Plains, MO 65775.
