Helen and her sister-in-laws, Alice (Collins) Nutter and Fern (Meydam) Nutter, had known each other since the 5th grade. She met Hubert when she went to show Fern her graduation gifts. After Helen and Hubert's divorce, in about 1960, Helen went to work as a typist, and in 1967 worked as a Clerk Typist for the State of Illinois, working her way up to supervisor, she retired after 17 1/2 years.

Helen's twin brother, Harold Eugene Florey, born 31 March 1922, Peoria, died of cancer, 17 April 1990, a brother Frank L. Florey, born 3 June 1925, Peoria Illinois, died 01 July 1999, Peoria, Illinois, and sister Jacqueline F. Schlatter, born 6 August 1914, died 23 July 1994, Chillicothe, Illinois, both her parents died with cancer. Helen married for the second time, Marion Curtis Hollaway, born 23 October 1917, died 6 February 2001, Peoria Illinois, Helen Was diagnosed with cancer not long before she passed away.

Helen E. Hollaway 71, of 261 N. Wardcliffe Dr. died at 3:40 Friday Oct.16,1992 at Methodist Medical center born March 31, 1922 in Peoria, to Elzy F. and Ruth (Wiley) Florey, she married M. Curtis Hollaway on Oct.22 1969 in Henry. He survives, also surviving are one son Victor H. Nutter of Hopewell Junction New York, two stepsons Keith of Washington and Kevin of Chillicothe, one daughter Mrs. Walter (Carol) Deckert of Glen Ellen, California, two step-daughters, Mrs. John (Margot) Helleseth of West Bend Iowa, and Mrs. William (Mary) Mugler of Armington, one brother Frank L. Florey of East Peoria, two sisters Jacqueline Schlatter of Chillicothe and Mrs. Robert (Irma) Levi, of Peoria. One grand-child, 13 step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and nine step-great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She was supervisor of the Dept. of Children and Family services for the state of Illinois for about 17 years, retiring in March 1984. Services will be at 11 AM. Wed. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. W. T. Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, burial will be at Parkview Cemetery.
