Charles W. Florey was born Oct. 17,1919, in Peoria, he was a son of Elzy and Ruth Wiley Florey. He married Nellie Justice in July of 1940, in Peoria. She died July 7, 1958. He married Zelda Jarvis Wasfaret April 12, 1965, in Bartonville and she survives.
Charles was a milkman employed by Schierer's Dairy for 20 years. He then worked for the Peoria Water Co. before retiring in Nov. of 1981.
Besides his wife, he is survived by; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) Hedden; two sons, Charles W. Florey and James R. Florey; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Stephen (Edna) Weber and Mrs. Charles (Adeline) Simms; four sisters, Mrs. William (Jacquline) Schlatter, Mrs. Floyd (Doris) Harrison, Mrs. Curtis (Helen) Hallaway, and Mrs. Robert (Irma) Levi; two brothers, Frank L. Florey and Harold E. Florey; four grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
