Drucilla Curtis was the daughter of Isaac Curtis and Amelia Clark, both of whom died prior to 1850 when Drucilla and her siblings were living with her maternal grandfather, Abijah Clark and his second wife Susan Jackson in the Lynchburg area. She married Andrew J Young 15 Mar 1854 in Harris County. They appear on the 1860 census with the first three of their children, but by 1870 at least two of these children are living with the Simms families and Andrew and Drucilla are assumed to have died. They are most likely buried here in the Simms burial ground. John Simms was her granduncle by marriage.
