Bobby was born on May 24, 1950, in Jackson, Ms to Frances Alexander Flynt and John H. Flynt.
He was a member of Midway Baptist Church for 25 years where he served as a deacon and also spent a few years as youth and recreation minister.
A 1968 graduate of Provine High School, Bobby was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds baseball organization and played two years in their minor league program. He later graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and was an avid Golden Eagle fan. Bobby retired from the City of Jackson where he worked for 24 years as an assistant sports director with the Department of Parks and Recreation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Vicki Flynt Pace.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Lynn Heasley Flynt of Clinton; his brother, Johnny Flynt (Joann) of Oxford; his sons, Brian Flynt (Sonya) of Hamilton, MS and Christ Flynt of Pocahontas; a stepson, Joey Vinzant (Amy) of Pelahatchie; grandchildren, Zachary and Brison Flynt; Hunter Flynt; Brittney, Peyton and Reagan Vinzant.
